Follow Up
Being thorough in your follow up can be extremely beneficial when hosting a parent workshop. To help you be successful in your follow up, we have listed some suggestions below:

A. Just before you begin each Workshop, you should pass around an attendance roll ( you can print one off under the Discussion Outline tab ) to gather their names and the necessary contact information.

B. Contact by phone or in person all attendees for individual feedback and thank them for attending. This will build a bridge for any future discussions on the School or Programs.

C. Contact by phone, email, and/or in person all of the following:

    1. All parents who let you know they could not attend but wanted to be invited to the next parent workshop.
    2. All parents referred by parents that attend the workshop. (Referral List)
    3. All parents who were invited but did not attend the workshop attend nor RSVP.

Let each of these groups of parents know when your next workshop will be held. If you are not holding another parent workshop or want to get information to these parents right away, give them the Workshop Presentation Video web address (www.workshopvideo.org) or give them an actual DVD, along with the booklet "Difficult Teens: Suggestions for Parents", to review and then have some follow up discussion with them about the Schools or Programs. Sharing your experience!!!
